- For the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia, ferrous ascorbate is used when the amount of iron taken from the diet is not adequate. It is also used for the treatment of anaemia due to chronic kidney failure. This drug is only used to treat iron deficiency-related haemoglobin disorders.
- Folate helps the body make healthy red blood cells and is found in certain foods. Folic acid is used to: treat or prevent folate deficiency anaemia.
- Zinc sulphate is used medically as a dietary supplement. Specifically, it is used to treat zinc deficiency and to prevent the condition in those at high risk.
